Voyagers explore Manoa

The Voyager Charter School specialist team for art, physical education and Hawaiian studies — composed of teachers Jill Sotelo, Reuben Herrera and Kumu Lakela Duque — has been building a new learning model at the school called Wayfinder Wednesdays to engage all grade levels to explore Manoa. On the most recent Wayfinder Wednesday, about 60 third grade and fourth grade students were taken to the University of Hawaii, above, to meet with professor Tara O’Neill of the College of Education for a campus arboretum scavenger hunt.
