City officials and contractors broke ground at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center for the solar canopy project which will hold photovoltaic panels atop the facility’s parking structure.

City officials and contractors broke ground at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center for the solar canopy project which will hold photovoltaic panels atop the facility’s parking structure. The $11 million project will cover the entire upper deck of the parking structure and should provide enough power for the Blaisdell’s daytime operations as well as generating power to support evening events.
