The Toys for Tots campaign got a boost from the Street Bikers United annual motorcycle parade, which began at Magic Island and ended at Paki Park. Warren Berrios was among the bikers who gathered cuddly toys to donate to the Marine Corps Reserve for distribution through the Toys for Tots program.

When Cmdr. William T. Shelton goes for a drive in his immaculate 1929 Pierce-Arrow open roadster, he towers over other vehicles on 19-inch spoke wheels. “It kind of gives you a different outlook on the world,” said the 43-year-old naval officer attached to the VR21 Squadron at Barbers Point. Shelton recently purchased the “mint” antique in San Francisco for slightly less than the cost of his modern Oldsmobile station wagon, and said he has already turned down several offers to buy it.
