FACEBOOK LIVE: The latest update on the Air Canada flight forced to land at Honolulu airport

An Air Canada flight was forced to divert to Honolulu this morning after the plane experienced “sudden turbulence,” airline officials said.

More than 30 people sustained minor injuries as a result of Air Canada flight AC33’s forced landing at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport at 6:45 a.m. today. The plane was en route to Sydney, Australia from Vancouver when it encountered turbulence approximately two hours past Hawaii.

Here’s the latest update from state Department of Transportation Airport Medical Director James Ireland, American Medical Response Oahu Operations Manager Andy Ancheta, Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting  Assistant Chief John Tabudlo and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services Chief Dean Nakano.
