Holy Family Catholic Academy raises funds for cancer foundation

A total of $6,003.20 was raised for the Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation, with third grade class 3B raising the most money at $813.41.

Seeley Borges receives a birthday cupcake from Holy Family Catholic Academy assistant principal Brian MacMaster, Friday, Sept. 29. Seeley was diagnosed with a rare leukemia at two-weeks old and received a bone marrow transplant at four months old. Her parents, Hayley and Shawn Borges, thanked the students and the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation for making Seeley’s treatment possible. Seeley is currently in remission and is celebrating her second birthday on Saturday, Sept. 30.
