Kohala High students win Kalo Challenge

Students from Kohala High School took home the winning prize in the state Department of Education’s Alternative Learning Programs, Supports and Serv­ices inaugural Kalo Challenge on Friday.

Students, educators, local leaders and guests gathered for the Alternative Learning Programs, Supports and Services' Kalo Challenge held at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Hookupu Center at Kewalo Basin on Friday. Three finalists made presentations with Malachi Duque and Elijah Tabiolo of Kohala High from the Big Island winning the challenge.
