Melveen Leed with Mark Yim of the Makaha Sons performed on Sunday at the O'ahu Cultural Festival. About 4,000 people attended the festival at Moanalua Gardens after a three-year hiatus. Hosted by Na Kumu Hula Sonny Ching and Lopaka Igarta-DeVera, the ho'olau kanaka showcased hula, music, food, vendors, games along with cultural practitioners and educators sharing their skills and knowledge to perpetuate Hawaiian culture.
