UPDATE 2 p.m.

The right lane of westbound Farrington Highway reopened at 2 p.m. after a car crashed into a utility pole near the Kahe Power plant early this morning, according to transportation officials

However, crews will continue to work within the shoulder to make repairs, said the Hawaii Department of Transportation. All highway users are asked to use caution when passing the work area.
