Owner Alvin Tsuruda stands amongst the anthuriums he grows. Tsuruda is closing his nursery in April because his lease is expiring, and at 84, “I’m old, too,” he said. He broke his leg last August and it’s taken months of recovery and rehabilitation before he just recently was able to start working again.
