Hawaii Kai Elite evened its record at the Babe Ruth 13U World Series with a 15-2 win over West Fargo, N.D., on Monday in Jamestown, N.Y.
Espn Bennett went 4-for-4 and drove in two runs, JJ Shinagawa and Ace Arizumi each had three RBIs, and DJ Kauahi also drove in two runs for Hawaii Kai, which opened the tournament with a loss on Sunday. Alika Ahu earned the win on the mound.
Hawaii Kai continues pool play today with a game against Tallassee, Ala. at 11 a.m.
>> Hawaii’s Team Central had its semifinal game at the American Legion World Series postponed on Monday. Team Central was scheduled to face Dubuque County, Iowa, but the game was moved to today. The winner faces Idaho Falls, Idaho, in the championship game, weather permitting.
