Warning signs come down at Kailua Boat Ramp after sharks depart

Lifeguards have removed warning signs of aggressive sharks near the Kailua Boat Ramp after they observed no sharks in the area.

Lifeguards posted warning signs after aggressive sharks were reportedly spotted in the area of the Kailua Boat Ramp this morning.
Lifeguards patrolled the water after calls were made to 911 at about 8 a.m. of sharks approximately 60 yards from the shoreline, according to Shayne Enright, spokeswoman of the Honolulu Emergency Services Department.
Though no sharks were observed, lifeguards posted warning signs that will remain displayed until 10 a.m. or so as a precautionary measure.
