William Cosier thanks his rescuers who stood behind him on Tuesday. Cosier, 56, thanked the good Samaritans and first responders who saved his life with handmade lei and boxes of Leonard’s malassadas during a special reunion set up at the Kailua Fire Department. He suffered a cardiac arrest while in the water at Kalama Beach in June.
