The first round of the #higotvaccinated campaign was launched in early June, with prizes including a trip for two to Las Vegas, 100,000 HawaiianMiles from Hawaiian Airlines, and Zippy’s meals for a year. The campaign has since been extended to August.
Organizers and health officials believe the campaign has helped move the needle in vaccination rates in the state, particularly as they were waning.
Dozens of winners verified by Accuity LLP, an independent Hawaii accounting firm — from Hilo to Waianae – have already been announced.
To date, more than 260,000 have registered for the lottery at HiGotVaccinated.com for a chance to win these prizes, organizers. The cash prizes are expected to provide an added incentive for those who may not be interested in traveling.
The contest is open to all Hawaii residents ages 18 and up who have received at least one shot of the Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. Those who have already registered do not need to re-register for round 2.
Many businesses are also offering an extension of deals and discounts for those who show their COVID-19 vaccination cards.
Businesses wishing to provide deals and discounts or more prizes should contact Patrick Bullard at H&B Marketing at 566-5272.
The #HIGotVaccinated campaign is supported by Adventist Health Castle, ConnectWorks, H&B Marketing, Hawaii Pacific Health, Humana, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, Maui Health, MDX Hawaii and Queen’s Health Systems.
