Athletes with Hawaii ties are competing in 10 different sports at the Olympics, which start this week in Tokyo. Some sports, like volleyball, are contested over nearly the entire two weeks of the games. Others, like skateboarding, are staged for just one or two days. (Another sport, wrestling, has no current Hawaii athlete, but 2012 freestyle bronze medalist Clarissa Chun, a Roosevelt graduate, is an assistant coach for the U.S. women’s team.)
Here’s when the Hawaii athletes are slated to perform. For more schedule details and TV viewing and streaming information, see nbcolympics.com/schedule.
