The Department of Public Safety on Monday reported a few more positive COVID-19 cases among its inmate population.
Hawaii Community Correctional Center received 21 inmate test results, with one coming up positive. Two inmates have recovered, which brings the active positive inmate cases at the facility to eight.
The Oahu Community Correctional Center also reported one new positive result out of 17 tests.
Negative test results were reported at other jails across Hawaii, including Waiawa, Halawa, Kauai Community and Women’s Community correctional facilities.
