The right lanes of Kalakaua Avenue between Kuhio Avenue and Olohana Street will be partially closed for roadwork from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday, city officials said.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area, if possible, and use alternate routes. They should also allow for extra travel time and abide by posted traffic signs.

City officials said access to driveways may also be restricted while work is being done in front of affected properties along Kalakaua Avenue. Emergency access, however, will be accommodated, as needed.

Special duty police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control.
