>> Maria Carvalho has been hired as underwriting manager. She has more than 40 years of experience in the personal insurance industry and has held several positions throughout her 10 years of service at Farmers Insurance Hawaii and 15 years of service at AIG Hawaii, as underwriting supervisor, product manager, personal lines underwriting assistant vice president and more.

>> Nalei Akau has been hired as an underwriting assistant. Her former position was budget analyst for the state House of Representatives, Finance Committee.
