>> Kurt Suzuki left Wednesday’s game with an injury but is expected to make his next start. Suzuki has carved out a role as Shohei Ohtani’s personal catcher, starting every game he pitches since April 4.

>> Ka’ai Tom has fallen down Pittsburgh’s pecking order in the outfield. He has made only one start since June 18 after making 30 since being aquired in April.

>> Kean Wong spent the week in Triple-A before being recalled on Friday when Justin Upton went on the injured list.

>> Jeremy Wu-Yelland retired all 12 batters he faced and his team took a no-hitter into the ninth inning on Tuesday. He has allowed only one hit in his last two starts (totaling seven innings) with 10 strikeouts and four walks.

>> Former UH player Patrick Scalabrini is managing Codie Paiva and Quebec in the Frontier League and has his team in first place in its division despite not playing a single home game. They will have been on the road for 70 days if Canada lifts its travel restrictions next month. Quebec hopes to play at home on July 23.
