6.7M earthquake strikes near New Zealand; no tsunami threat to Hawaii

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck just after 7 a.m. today near the Kermadec Islands in New Zealand.
According to the PTWC, there is no tsunami threat to the Hawaiian Islands at this time.
