Artists and craftsmen, who are preparing the Hawaiian Wax Museum for its opening on Feb. 4, were unable to resist temptation when a load of sand was delivered in Waikiki. The resulting scene, putting to effective use a wax head and a wax foot, provided a tourist-stopping attraction on Kalakaua Avenue. The sand and wax figures will be included in the museum’s 19 scenes from Hawaii history.
