Power mostly restored in Kailua after midday crash
Hawaiian Electric Company says power has been restored to nearly 2,000 customers who were without power in Kailua earlier today due to a motor vehicle crash.
HECO said the outage was first reported at approximately 11 a.m. and about 1,840 customers were affected.
As of 1:35 p.m., power was restored to all but around three remaining customers, who will remain without power until repairs are finished at approximately 10 p.m.
