Three people were injured, one critically, in a vehicle collision near Punahou Street and South Beretania Street this afternoon.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services officials said the accident happened about 2 p.m. Paramedics performed “life-saving treatment” to a man in his 40s and took him in critical condition to a hospital.

Two women in the 20s were also treated and taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police closed South Beretania Street between Punahou and Alexander streets while they responded and investigated the collision. The road was re-opened about 4:30 p.m.
