STARADVERTISER / MAY 1, 1969
Mrs. William Bennett has gained a reputation for taking in injured wild animals and birds, and caring for
them in her home until they are ready to be returned to the wild. She currently tends to two majiros, a
sparrow, about 17 finches, an aquarium full of fish, two chihuahuas, a formerly wild poi dog and a mynah
bird that likes to perch on her shoulder.
