Incarcerated women reunite with children for a day of bonding

It was “Christmas in July” for a dozen inmates at the Women’s Community Correctional Center in Kailua who were able to spend a few precious hours with their children during a special Kids’ Day celebration Saturday. Hosted by the state correctional facility and Keiki O Ka ‘Aina Family Learning Centers, this was the third Kids’ Day since the COVID-19 pandemic, following celebrations earlier in the year for Easter and Mother’s Day.
