Lei were presented during the closing ceremony for Lei Day on Thursday at Mauna Ala, also known as the Royal Mausoleum. As an annual tradition, lei from the Lei Contest the day before are presented as ho’okupu and placed on the graves of Hawaii’s ali’i.
