A storm of historic proportions dumped a record amount of rain over parts of Los Angeles on Monday, sending mud and boulders down hillsides dotted with multimillion-dollar homes while people living in homeless encampments in many parts of the city scrambled for safety.

The heavy rain has caused the hillside to slide in two areas behind the Skyline Mobile Home Park in Torrance, Calif. on Monday, Feb. 5. Jennifer Nuqui has lived in the mobile home at the very top of Skyline Drive for 8 years and says she's never seen the mud flowing down the hill like this before. Nuqui said, "I am scared, I just don't want it to go inside the house."
