Fifth-grade students from across the isles participated in the “I Go To College” program hosted by Chaminade University in partnership with Hawaii Catholic Schools on Thursday.

Fifth-grade students from across the isles participated in the “I Go To College” program hosted by Chaminade University in partnership with Hawaii Catholic Schools on Thursday. A total of 359 students visited the Chaminade University campus, on two separate dates in November, to attend classes, tour the campus and receive “diplomas” at a graduation ceremony.

Students assemble ahead of the graduation ceremony held in McCabe Gym. “The purpose of this program is to expose the students to college life at an early age and to provide them with a day that is fun and eye opening,” said Kim Baxter, director of early college programs at Chaminade.
