Developers and local officials broke ground Tuesday on a $199-million affordable rental project offering two on-site preschools in Kapolei. Parkway Village at Kapolei — developed by The Kobayashi Group and the Ahe Group — is a first of its kind mixed-use project that will feature 405 affordable rental units, linked to early education childcare facilities that will be overseen by Kamehameha Schools.

The City and County of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC), Kobayashi Group and Āhē Group held a groundbreaking and blessing ceremony for Parkway Village at Kapolei, an innovative mixed-use development that will create 405 affordable rental units and two on-site preschools.
