Kilauea volcano activity has paused
The summit eruption of Kilauea volcano, within Halemaumau Crater, has paused, according to the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. Two months after Kilauea began its latest eruption, lava is no longer flowing on the crater floor. No significant changes have been observed along either of the volcano's rift zones.
