The first Chick-fil-A on Oahu opened Thursday morning at the Makai Market Food Court in Ala Moana Center. The Atlanta-based restaurant company has over 2,700 restaurants in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and plans to open another restaurant in Oahu on South Beretania Street for drive-through only. About 50 people waited in line for the doors to open where newly hired Chick-fil-A employees bustled with experienced trainers who were flown in for the grand opening.
