TSA, state officials target long security lines at Kahului Airport on Maui

Officials with TSA and the state Department of Transportation held a news conference on Thursday, Sept. 1, to announce the “significant” improvements that went into effect to tackle long lines at security checkpoints at the Kahului Airport on Maui.

TSA passenger-screening canine teams have returned to Kahului Airport after a five-year absence. The four teams are tasked with sniffing out explosives in carry-on bags. Their identities were not provided.
