Rail testing begins on Honolulu’s train system

The rail traverses above Farrington Highway in Waipahu on Tuesday. The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation this week started the trial run testing phase for the first operating segment of the rail system. The testing phase is a 90-day check all aspects of the trains, stations, systems and operating personnel. It's the last step before riders are allowed on board.
