A Navy yard tug operating in Apra Harbor, Guam, hauls the 45-foot motor vessel Aloha alongside a commercial deck after a seagoing tug, the Takelma, brought the Aloha to Guam when it ran out of fuel while heading to the island from Rota in the Northern Mariana Islands.

Sharon Taba holds a homemade mobile over a playpen to simulate what a baby might see. The patterns on the mobile were created with colored tape. Taba, a master child care worker with the Salvation Army’s Pohai Pono program, said the mobile is one of a number of toys the program’s staff has created to foster child development in keeping with the theories of Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget.
