15-year-old Xander Cabales of Ewa Beach was named the Children’s Miracle Network Champion for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Monday, April 4, at Kapiolani Medical Center. He was diagnosed with a life-threatening skin disorder called Stevens-Johnson syndrome at the age of 7, but has since recovered.
