Kaneohe residents and cousins Leila Chun, left, and June Kaya watch intently as appraisers Lark E. Mason, middle, and Dessa Goddard inspect a tea pot made of bamboo during a 2006 taping of "Antiques Roadshow" at the Hawai'i Convention Center. The teapot turned out to be from the year 1704 and was brought to Hawaii by their great grandfather, who was a samurai in Japan. About 5,000 people showed up for a chance to have their treasures old and new appraised by professionals from the PBS show.
