Statistics of players with Hawaii ties in professional baseball through Friday’s games. Players who are on the injured or suspended list and whose stats have not changed since last week are not listed.:
>> Josh Rojas can expect to be activated off the injury list early this week, according to Arizona manager Torey Lovullo. Rojas dislocated his left pinkie on July 22 but is expected to put a bat in his hands soon after reporting an increased range of motion and grip strength with the digit.
>> Kodi Medeiros was given his first two save opportunities of the year last week and blew them both. He gave up five runs on two home runs in an inning at Durham and then allowed three hits and the tying run while getting four outs five days later at home against Jacksonville. Medeiros, whose ERA ballooned from 3.05 to 5.09 with the bad stretch, has converted three of his nine save chances in his pro career.
>> Steven Wright’s struggles continued on Wednesday, starting against St. Paul and not getting an out before being pulled after 10 batter. It was the first time in Wright’s long professional career that he took the mound and failed to get an out.
>> K.J. Harrison enjoyed a two-homer game on Friday, victimizing Travis MacGregor twice. It was Harrison’s first two-homer game since 2017 in rookie ball.
>> Micah Yonamine is listed on the 60-day injured list, according to milb.com. It is the first time in his young career he has been sidelined. Yonamine was one of four Clearwater players placed on the IL this week. Also, the team closed its facility and postponed its weekend games because of mulitple positive COVID-19 tests
