This U.S. Air Force crash-boat of the 3rd Air Rescue Squadron is manned entirely by airmen on July 20, 1952. Based in a Korean harbor near a major airstrip, it provides crash protection for Combat Cargo transports airlifting supplies, amil and personnel, and for the bombers of one of Fifth Air Force's most important units. In close radio contact with constantly on the alert, and especially so during periods of takeoffs and landings at the strip.
