Scores of top-notch athletes have recently touched down here, in part, to sample our summertime weather as a preview of hot-and-humid days expected during the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic rowing teams today wrap up a weeklong training camp, with workouts held in the Ala Wai Canal. And last week the U.S. swim teams completed two weeks of workouts at Punahou, ‘Iolani and University of Hawaii pools.
Plans are now in the works for first lady Jill Biden, who is slated to lead the U.S. delegations, to hold official events in Hawaii and Alaska before attending the July 23 opening ceremony. Go, teams!
