Woman, 25, injured after being ‘dragged’ in water off Portlock

A 25-year-old woman was reported to be in serious condition on Saturday after being “dragged” in the water off Koko Kai Mini Beach Park in Portlock and suffering multiple lacerations to her body.

According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, at around 1:30 p.m. the woman attempted to get out of the ocean at the Hawaii Kai surf break known as China Walls, but was “dragged across the rocky coastline.”

She suffered lacerations and bruises to her head, arms and legs, EMS said.

Good Samaritans helped her out of the water, and she was treated and transported to a hospital by EMS personnel.
