On the Move: Tory Laitila and Sati Benes Chock

The Honolulu Museum of Art (HoMA) has announced two internal promotions:

>> Tory Laitila is HoMa’s new curator of the Historic Arts of Hawaii collection, an expansion of his current role in textiles and costumes. Laitila joined HoMA in 2019 after a 17-year career with the Honolulu Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts. Prior to that, he served as the assistant curator at the Hawaiian Mission Houses.

>> Sati Benes Chock, who has been with the museum for nearly two decades, has been promoted to curatorial project administrator and editor. Chock attended college in Massachusetts, where she received a bachelor’s degree in European history.
