Honolulu police investigate armed robberies in Honolulu
Honolulu police are investigating two armed robberies that allegedly took place on Oahu on Monday.
One of the robberies involved a unknown male who entered an establishment around 6:30 a.m., told a 66-year-old woman inside that he was carrying a firearm and demanded money. He was able to take money and flee the scene.
The Honolulu Police Department said the first degree robbery took place in the “Honolulu area” but provided no other details.
The other case, also classified as a first-degree robbery, took place just before 11 p.m. near the Waikiki Natatorium. A 45-year-old man was walking along the sidewalk in front of the natatorium when three unidentified males approached him. One of the men pointed a gun at the 45-year-old and demanded his property, while another searched his pockets.
All three men fled the scene on foot and were last seen running toward Waikiki Shell.
There were no injuries were reported for either case.
