Honolulu Ocean Safety makes 19 rescues on North Shore
Honolulu Ocean Safety personnel made 19 rescues via jet ski on the North Shore today as surf picked up in the late afternoon. A high surf warning is in effect through Thursday.
Ocean Safety spokeswoman Shayne Enright said in an email today that personnel worked past 5:30 p.m. today to make sure everyone got out of the water safely.
She also reported that they made about 350 “preventative actions” or warnings today.
