Trump should beware catching virus again
The president is extremely cocky about being immune to the virus. Only time will tell, be it weeks or months, if he is reinfected by being careless or overconfident.
He has to maintain that tough presidential image of himself to prove that he can withstand the activity of the virus. Make no mistake that it won’t happen again. The second hit may not be as kind to him.
Donald Trump is lucky that the first time with the medications, he was able to survive. Thousands of other Americans were not as fortunate to receive the same medication, and it’s sad and pitiful that they have to endure the pain and suffering.
Be thoughtful and caring and make the same medication available to your fellow Americans — for free.

Hawaii should stop using ethanol in gas
Tell me again why we put 10% ethanol in our gasoline. Originally Hawaii was going to build an ethanol-producing plant and use homegrown sugar as a feed stock to produce ethanol. Hawaii passed a law requiring all local oil companies to inject 10% ethanol into our motor gasoline.
Hawaii never built a ethanol processing plant and therefore we import ethanol.
There are three good reasons why we should not inject ethanol into our gasoline. First, ethanol is water soluble. Gasoline is not water soluble so water drops out.
Second, if water gets into your gasoline/ethanol blend, the ethanol with the water will separate from the blend and you will have off-test gasoline (84 octane instead of 87 octane) and the ethanol-water mix will be at the bottom of your tank.
Third, your miles per gallon is reduced by 3.3%. That’s because the ethanol has 80,000 BTUs per gallon; gasoline has 119,800 BTUs.
Hawaii should discontinue using ethanol in gasoline.

Hawaii suffers from lack of leadership
Hawaii suffers from an appalling lack of leadership in both public and private sectors. The reasons are varied: overly empowered public-employee unions; diminished local ownership of businesses; a cultural aversion to confrontation about performance in favor of the petulant, impotent airing of grievances; a Republican Party that resembles parasitic-wasp prey after the meal is finished, and a Democratic one where the liquefaction is well advanced.
