A memorial of flowers and mementos have sprung up in front of the Waikiki Police Sub station to remember the police officers, Tiffany Enriquez and Kaulike Kalama who were shot and killed while responding to an apparent tenant-landlord dispute on Hibiscus Drive on Diamond Head.

Ikaika DeCota pays his respects and says “A hui hou” (until we meet again) on Tuesday. DeCota said he’s known Kalama since they were in Central and McKinley High School together. He said they would have a beer together and “he even arrested me, but I never held it against him and he never held it against me.”
