USS Arizona survivor Lou Conter, 98, visited Home of the Brave Hawaii on a recent Monday to share memories of Dec. 7, 1941 when the Japanese launched a surprise aerial attack on Pearl Harbor. Museum president Glen Tomlinson hired a videographer to film promotional videos to help save the museum.

California resident Mary Wagner Kreigh, 82, donated her family’s USS Utah artifacts to Home of the Brave Hawaii in Kakaako. "I love this museum," said Kreigh, who visits every December for the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. "This is the one place that I will make sure I get to."

Located on the second floor of Home of the Brave Hawaii, a 1940s-themed speakeasy Wiki Waki Woo Tropical Bar & Lounge serves military-themed cocktails. Visitors can order a Bourbon Shake, Diamond Head Muleskinner or Stalin's Community Party Punch and explore the numerous World War II artifacts, relics and memorabilia inside the museum.
