Elderly deserve respect, not crimes
It’s tragic that the same season many people consider a time for peace on Earth also fosters crimes of opportunity.
But do they have to be this low? As depraved as causing the death of Dolores Corpus, 85, by grabbing her purse, resulting in her fatal head injuries as she struck the ground? As vicious as grabbing a bag and knocking down its 75-year-old owner, on her way to church?
Those are just two cases. Police have the right advice: Let the purse go. But get a good description, so an arrest may follow.
