Maui High School junior Hunter Shields used a strong finishing kick to defeat defending champion Adam Harder of Hanalani School en route to winning the boys state cross country title at Seabury Hall. Shields finished the 5K course in 16 minutes, 15.6 seconds while Harder was timed in 16:19.5.
