>> Central Pacific Bank has named Blane Asao assistant vice president and branch manager to oversee the bank’s main branch in downtown Honolulu. He was previously a senior institutional deposit services officer. Asao’s 30 years of experience also includes managing the bank’s Kahala branch for more than four years, and serving as treasurer for Kumu Kahua Theater and as a director of the community liasion group Friends of Hickam.

>> Bank of Hawaii has promoted Weiguo Sun to vice president from assistant vice president. He will continue as an IT manager for the bank’s Database Administration department. Sun’s 18 years of experience include serving in numerous positions in the bank’s Database Administration and Business Intelligence Division. Before joining the bank, Sun was senior Oracle developer for the state Department of Health.
