I am the silent majority who can no longer remain silent in support of the Thirty Meter Telescope.
The state of Hawaii cannot allow a minority group to desecrate the rule of law and prevent the legal construction of the TMT.
Our nation was built on laws and no religious or political belief is above the law. Gov. David Ige, elected Hawaiian politicians, celebrity sympathizers: Are you listening? We must act now on the right side of the law.
Our news media can help by reducing its daily coverage of the irrelevant chanting and dancing of the protesters that are generating more supporters. If coverage is important and protesting activity is shown, the news media must also point out in the same coverage that this is against the rule of law and is illegal and unlawful.
Failure to do this could only generate more sympathizers for the protesters.
