Our president is proving to be the corrupt, divisive, racist leader that many had predicted. A diverse, multi-cultural state like Hawaii should have a representative who would call out such evil when she sees it. But, U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard continues to enable this administration by not supporting an impeachment investigation.

Every day Trump’s assault on science, the environment and our democracy continues. His inept (or purposeful?) diplomatic actions with Iran have brought us to the brink of war.

If another event like 9/11 takes place, the country will rally around him. If we are lucky enough to avoid war, don’t expect our electoral process to save us.

Trump has said he would again welcome the aid of a foreign country to help him win. Republicans have so tipped the electoral scales with gerrymandering, voter suppression and the possibility of electronic election fraud that he may very well “win” again.

An impeachment investigation may be our last chance to shine the light on his crimes, hopefully moving the American people to reject him in the next election with an overwhelming turnout.
